Before watching the movie:

I very keenly remember the teaser publicity for this movie. It may be the first movie I remember being aware of the advertising for as it was happening. Everyone was talking about the flying cow. Some time later, I realized I didn’t actually know what the story was about, because all I’d seen was a scary tornado. The only answer I ever got was “stormchasers”. Even for people who run toward the tornado, I can’t really think how you’d get drama out of that beyond “here we go into the storm again”.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun. New World Pictures 1985.

Before watching the movie:

I just found out this movie existed. I know it’s a musical, but is it a jukebox musical (all preexisting songs), or is it new numbers and the somewhat-related song they got so they’d have a recognizable title? It’ll be interesting to find out.

I strongly suspect that the “Dance TV” alluded to in the summary is a stand-in for MTV.

Before watching the movie:

I’m trying not to think of this movie as The Barefoot Executive meets Short Circuit with a bit of War Games. Although a military experiment is trying to escape from the military, not every story about chimps with uncanny abilities and a young friend is going to be the farce “Executive” was. This is listed as a drama. So I think I know much more about this movie than I really do.

I wish I’d found this one before the more recent Project X of no relation came out. I similarly know everything and nothing about that one too, but I’m pretty sure they intended it that way.
